Burger King enters the chicken sandwich wars

by The 100 Companies

This month, Burger King entered the chicken sandwich wars, a not-so-subtle competition among fast food chains beginning with Popeyes’ popular menu addition back in August 2019.

And while Burger King’s Ch’King chicken sandwich can be ordered spicy, it is the chain’s advocacy tactics that are really brining the heat. As announced on Twitter, during Pride Month, 40 cents from every Ch’King purchased will be donated to the Human Rights Campaign, supporting LGBTQ+ rights.

This announcement — which scathingly notes that the Ch’King is even available on Sundays — follows Chick-fil-A’s ongoing contributions to the National Christian Foundation. See you in the drive thru!
