Walt Disney World has announced a phased reopening with proposed plans submitted for Orange County and state approval. The proposal has Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom opening on July 11 and EPCOT and Hollywood Studios on July 15.
Theme park capacity will be extremely limited at first, and parades and “high-touch” experiences such as character meet and greets will not be available. Attendance will be available by advance reservation only, and new sales are paused as Disney focuses first on guests with existing tickets and reservations.
Disney will manage the parks in a very different way, with safety, social distancing and cleaning protocols.
