Alex Trebek hosted 8,000 episodes of Jeopardy and has been on our television screens since 1984 as the show’s beloved host. After a long battle with pancreatic cancer, the iconic host died this month at his Los Angeles home.
With five Emmy wins and his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Trebek was a television icon, known for his trademark style that included a tasteful mixture of humor and wit.
The show’s producers announced that the final 35 episodes filmed with Trebek will air – as he wished. Already, speculation about who will replace the legendary host is mounting.
