There is a celebratory “day” for just about every machination, with some ascribing to a Hallmark conspiracy, keeping greeting card companies in business.
As the oldest of three girls in the Collins household I can attest that having sisters is thrilling, challenging, annoying, but most of all, a blessing. A ready-made best friend and co-conspirator. I can hear my parents’ reminder, “Friends come and go, but sisters are forever.”
National Sisters Day is celebrated the first Sunday in August, but certainly not reserved to the biological. Cheers to sorority sisters, sisters from another mister and to all forming lifelong bonds.
