Tallahassee Memorial Hospital (TMH) is urging those who have recovered from COVID-19 to consider donating their blood plasma in the effort to help others with the virus.

Plasma containing antibodies has proved to be an effective treatment in helping patients improve faster, and the local blood bank is working to accept donations.

Eligible patients must have a documented COVID-19 positive test from an FDA-approved laboratory. This includes a positive diagnostic test at the time of illness, or a positive serological test for SARS-CoV-2 antibodies post-recovery. Documented recovery from COVID-19 via test or time is required, with a physician health-history certification.
