In what’s considered a bold move by the GOP, the Republican National Committee (RNC) will split their presidential nominating convention between two locations: Charlotte, N.C. and Jacksonville, Fla.
Details are somewhat vague on how the Monday, Aug. 24 through Thursday, Aug. 27 events will take shape between the two cities, given social-distancing precautions during the pandemic. RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel stated that the party will “abide by what the mayor and governor are saying” in filling local indoor and outdoor venues.
Check the RNC convention website for latest details, along with local Jacksonville Host Committee leadership, and volunteer opportunities.
