Another scorching Florida summer is almost here, but for now, you can still use your oven without making your whole house unbearably hot. In fact, spring is the perfect time for baking, with seasonal fruit — think apricots, lemons and strawberries — and even edible flowers, easily available to take any confection from just “yum” to resounding “WOAH.”
You could incorporate a seldom-used ingredient to bake these rich and gooey rhubarb custard bars; or maybe go with cherry-chocolate oatmeal cookies, a tart spin on a decadent treat. The options are endless — and all delicious.
