The steady return to a new normal includes the rebuild of Florida’s tourism economy. A drop in our tourist visits from 130 million in 2019 to 87 million in 2020 creates a strong pent-up demand and Florida’s destinations are in a competitive war for the travel dollar.
With a 60 percent drop in tourism advertising dollars expended in 2020 according to AdAge, destinations are increasing awareness and advantage in coming here as a first stop leisure destination, as more age cohorts are vaccinated.
With the warming weather, expect our airports and highway traffic to be filling on the inbound side.
