The University of South Florida Muma College of Business and Tampa Bay Wave is launching the FinTech|X Accelerator, designed to assist startups in finance technology.

With its first cohort to be selected in 2022, the accelerator will help high-potential, high-growth startups through mentoring, pitch coaching and investment training. The overall goal is to transition startups to sustainable, scalable and profitable businesses.

Most of  the in-person programming will take place on the university’s St. Petersburg campus. Startups from around the world can apply to the 90-day program, with applications open through Jan. 1.

The program is set to start in mid-April.
