International Joke Day is celebrated every year on July 1. On this day, everyone is encouraged to share their favorite joke, a funny video, or a silly picture to join in laughter with others.

This holiday was to be created in 1994 by Wayne Reinagel as a promotion for his joke book. It has since turned into a day focused on brightening spirits with laughter rather than worrying about life’s stresses.
