We the People

On Sept. 17, 1787, 39 delegates signed one of the most important documents in American history, the United States Constitution. Written by the People, for the People, the Constitution defines the structure of the federal government, including limitations in power.

To celebrate this significant manuscript, the National Constitution Center has great resources for teaching others about the Constitution and learning more yourself. It is essential for Americans to know the value of this document.

Constitution Day is also known as Citizenship Day, to celebrate those who have passed the citizenship test and now enjoy the freedoms outlined in our Constitution.
