Members of the American Sportfishing Association (ASA) and Keep Florida Fishing (KFF) descended upon Tallahassee recently, meeting with elected officials and agency secretaries  to discuss issues impacting the boating and angling industry.

There are over 4 million anglers in Florida. The activity provides over 106,000 jobs, brings upwards of $11.5 billion in economic activity and contributes $56.8 million to fisheries conservation.

Florida House Agriculture and Natural Resources Appropriations Subcommittee Chair, Representative Holly Raschein, recognized both groups on the House floor. Watch her tribute to ASA and KFF and their work to ensure Florida remains the “Fishing Capital of the World.”
