Every third Sunday in June, the nation comes together to celebrate dad, an increasingly unsung hero, responsible for so much more than helping bring us into the world.
In fact, we’ve been doing this, honoring the man who helped to mold us and set our morals and values, for over a century, since the first observation of Father’s Day in Spokane, Washington in 1910.
And while new gadgets and power tools might seem like no-brainer gifts, we should keep in mind that he probably just wants time with his kids — his greatest investment — more than anything else on his special day.
