state legislature

The question is not about your personal experience or characteristics, but rather, have you completed the paperwork required to have your name appear on the ballot?

Florida’s state legislative and local office qualifying period opens at noon on Monday, June 8, and closes noon Friday, June 12.

To appear on the ballot for state legislature the qualifying fee is $1,781.82 for a party candidate and $1,187.88 for a no party affiliation candidate. Local office qualifying fees can be higher. A form of “Full and Public Disclosure of Financial Interests,” an “Appointment of Campaign Treasurer,” and a “Candidate Oath” are also required.
